Where are you from?

I’m representing Gary, IN. That’s where I spent most of my time during my life but I’m a military brat so I was born in Valdosta, GA and I’ve stayed several places across the country.

When did you first fall in love with Hip Hop?

I’ve always been a Will Smith fan so it’s probably the first time I heard Summertime. But the first time I heard something and it made me want to rap was probably when I heard Juicy by Notorious B.I.G. I was like I have to figure out a way to do this!

What's the fuel behind your passion for music?

The fuel for me is to inspire or motivate someone in the same way that I was inspired and motivated when I listened to music.  Another thing that helps keep the wheels turning is a sense of reaching as far as I can possibly reach in being great at my craft.

What sets you apart from other artists?

Personally, I just don’t know many artists that have the lyrical ability I do. I’m really trying to elevate the poetic element of rap to the level it used to be. I think people had given up on that part of rapping. The thing with me is that I can bring that element into all genres as well.

Who are some of your influences and inspirations?

My personal influences are people like Aaron McGruder, Nas, a lot of Lupe Fiasco. I’m a big Joe Budden fan. I love Michael Jackson and Prince and George Clinton, Bootsy Collins all that type of stuff.

What are some highlights of your musical career?

So far it’s probably been opening the Underground Music Rave. Shout out my bro Al Koleon for giving me that opportunity.  It was definitely dope performing at the Hobart Art Theatre.  It was a ton of people there and it was just a great time.

Any achievements and/or awards?

None that I care to mention, but my girl Keisha Kautiouz of Ear Hustin' Entertainment presented me with an Artist Appreciation award last year that I cherish.  Everything else is like whatever lol.
