Where are you from?

I am initially from the Southside of Chicago but as a youth I moved to Northwest Indiana.

When did you first fall in love with Hip Hop?

I fell in love with Hip-Hop at an early age the first time I heard Kriss Kriss. We were around the same age and as rap became more popular in the early 90s, I began to be influenced by the music. Their album was the first rap album I ever owned.

What's the fuel behind your passion for music?

My passion for music began when I was younger and listened to music my parents grew up on. Just realizing how music has the ability to capture a moment in time always amazed me. Even now I can hear a song and know exactly where I was in my life when I first heard it.

What sets you apart from other artists?

I believe my creativity separates me from other artists. I aim to write on subjects that others don't think of. Oftentimes the concepts I choose and beat selections are ones that are different from most artists I've encountered.

Who are some of your influences and inspirations?

Outside of Kriss Kross being my first musical inspiration, I'm heavily influenced by Twista, Jay Z, and Kanye West. I used to study Twista's style being from Chicago. Jay Z has lyrical talent that is unmatched and inspires me to use double entendre and clever rhymes. Kanye has a passion that is unmatched.

What are some highlights of your musical career?

The highlight of my music career has probably been within the past few months that we've created the group. For the first time I've actually decided to use my God-given gift to work. Usually I would record music just as therapy but now I feel it's time to share it with the world.
